EQUITAK® EXCEL is the world’s first 3 in 1 combination wormer for horses which contains Abamectin, Oxfendazole and Praziquantel. Bomac Purchase of Select Parnell Laboratories Range

Date: 1st of July 2008

On the 30th June 2008 Bomac and Parnell Laboratories agreed to the sale of a range of quality veterinary products. The sale includes the rights to the brands, registrations, formulations and the majority of stock on hand of the following products: Antidiarrhoea Powder, Bolt 1000, Bolt 1000 + Se, Bolt 2000, Bolt 2000 + Se, Calsenate, Contran-H, Fentazin 5, Fentazine 10, Flunix, Gastric Stimulant Powder, Giafen, Histantin, Magnesate, Metrin, Musca Ban, Pethidine, Prilocaine, Reverzine, Reverzine SA, Triclovet, Xylaze and Xylaze Forte.

"These products have made important and unique contributions to animal health, some for as long as 40 years" said Parnell Chairman Dr Alan Bell. "Under Bomac's stewardship they will continue to serve the veterinary profession with distinction for many years to come."

"The acquisition of these products from Parnell will be a good addition to our range and will allow us to grow our customer base and increase our service to our existing customers" said Bomac Chief Executive Officer Mick Findlay.

Under the sale agreement Bomac will manufacture, distribute and sell all of the products listed. The transfer of registrations is due to be completed over the coming months. Throughout this transition period all products will still be readily available for purchase. In order to ensure continued supply during this transition period Parnell Laboratories will continue to manufacture stock for Bomac to distribute and sell.

EXI-FLY® LIQUID Launched

Today Bomac launched EXI-FLY® LIQUID, a highly effective blowfly treatment for sheep.

EXI-FLY® LIQUID is designed to protect long wool sheep for up to 14 weeks from strike by blowfly (lucilia cuprina), including organosphosphate resistant strains when applied by jetting or dipping.

TOLTRACOX® Launched

Date: 27th May 2007

Today Bomac launched TOLTRACOX®, an oral Coccidiocide Control for Piglets.

Toltracox® Coccidiocide For Piglets control coccidiosis caused by Isospora suis infection in young piglets. Isospora suis infection is a major cause of diarrhea, dehydration, loss of appetite, poor growth and occasional mortality in piglets between birth and 3-4 weeks of age. Toltracox® is effective in one dose because it attacks all stages of the parasite in the animal.

Toltracox® is available in a 250mL bottle. Also available is the Toltracox® 1mL Applicator for easy administration.
